The headquarters of the SIMON GROUP is located in Aichhalden near Schramberg. In total our group of companies employs around 740 people. The SIMON GROUP unites the three companies BETEK, SITEK and SIMON Sinterlutions, as well as the business divisions SIMON Tooling and SIMON Analytics under its umbrella. As a global player, the group of companies now stands for over 40 years of expertise in the processing and machining of carbide.

The individual companies have been subsidiaries of the listed INDUS-Holding AG since 1992. They act both independently and jointly on the market. In addition to the main plant in Aichhalden, Betek also operates a production site in Taicang, China and a sales office in the USA.

In each and every one of our companies, we pay close attention to ensuring flat hierarchies and flexible processes. These are regularly reviewed and improved. Our employees manufacture a comprehensive range of products and services at the highest level of quality. Important cornerstones for the continuous quality of our work are the central services of the company group. These include administration, purchasing, quality management, electrical workshop and maintenance, as well as the company’s own materials laboratory and toolmaking shop.

Our quality management system is described on the basis of the ISO 9001 standard in accordance with IATF 16949 and is binding for the entire SIMON GROUP. The goal of our entire process performance is to establish a good, preferably lasting relationship with our customers, and to continuously improve ourselves and our services.

The continuous production of the highest quality products is the primary goal of the SIMON GROUP. For complete quality assurance, we, therefore, carry out not only careful analysis of all raw materials supplied, but also testing of our own powder mixtures and granules. All our semi-finished and sintered parts are also constantly being tested. Here, for example, we measure for hardness or determine carbon content or magnetic characteristics. In the area of carbide grades, we test especially for density, flexural strength or wear.

We carry out all laboratory measurements and tests with state-of-the-art equipment. Our materials laboratory has, for example, an ICP spectrometer for elemental analysis and various light microscopes for assessing microstructures. A scanning electron microscope with up to 10,000 x magnification, a laboratory attritor for process and product development, and a rotary evaporator are also fixed components of our laboratory equipment. In addition, there are laboratory furnaces for near-series sintering.
